The Chatbox Rules Apply here as well

The chatbox is increasingly becoming a big issue, there has been a huge increase in chatbox bans and it needs to stop. Our beloved chatbox is not only a good way to communicate with a vast number of user's simultaneously, yet it is also extreemely beneficial to those seeking help with questions, queries, drama's and issues. Those who create drama within our chatbox are creating much hassle for staff and distress among those using it, it would be a shame for it to have to be closed down because of a number of people who disrespect it's rules.

With this in mind, I am therefore taking the initiative to make these rules apparent to all, with a basic outline of what you can and can't do. These rules must be followed AT ALL TIMES, fail to do so and you will be issued with a warning (in most non-severe circumstances). Persiting in the mistake of disobeying the rules, will result in a chatbox ban.

I aim to make all user's aware of the etiquette of the chatbox so that we can limit the abuse going on within it, hopefully this knowledge will become widely known and we can all appreciate the chatbox in peace.

And so, the rules are as follows:

No spamming
Spamming consists of many forms, they include the following...
- Classic spamming, repitition of any number of things (links, smileys, letters, characters, questions, speech of any kind, the list goes on, the point is - ONCE IS ENOUGH)
- Jibberish, completely irrelevant sentances which don't make sense, for example reciting the lyrics of a song.
- Using more characters/smileys/letters/etc. than necessary, e.g:"hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii".


No discussing other Hotels or Retros
Under no circumstance are you to dicuss other hotels or retros, nor *advertise them.


No abusive language, swearing or hate speech
There is to be no language, speech, actions or gestures with intention of inflicting offense or derogatory remarks towards any user, group of people or anything alike. Attempts of excusing yourself of "swearing" by creating mis-spelt adaptations of a word which would otherwise be deemed inappropriate is a wasted effort. Although it may not appear to be the word itself - the intention is still there. This includes the use of characters such as: @ = a $ = s, etc. and *.


No disrespecting staff
Staff are here for YOUR BENEFIT. They keep the hotel safe, under control and up and running - they moderate with your best interest at heart and work hard to make sure all their duties are perfomed. You are not to disrespect or abuse them in any way. Doing so is not only a violation of the chatbox rules, yet also incredibly callous and ungrateful.


Do not impersonate staff or admins
Although we encourage users to help one another and keep others informed of the rules of the chatbox - you are not to impersonate staff so that you are making false claims. Identity fraud is a serious issue and will not be taken lightly.


Do not give out personal information
Under no circumstance are you permitted to give out personal information; whether it be your email address or your password - it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN and a violation of the basic principle rules of the Hotel (Open Way and T&C).


Use one message box to type your messages
You are to use one message box in order to type your messages, however if you go over the limit then you may continue on into another message box. Using several different messages to express what you want to say is not permitted and is a form of spamming. An example of this is as follows:

[01-001, 00:01] Soon2BBanned this
[01-001, 00:01] Soon2BBanned is cool
[01-001, 00:01] Soon2BBanned but it's

It is herefore hoped and intended that these rules should be understood by the user's of the Hotel. Anyone who is direspectful or flippant towards them should expect according concequence/punishment.
